Our initial consultation is designed to give us a clear understanding of your property, project goals, priorities, and overall scope of work. During the visit, we’ll walk the project area with you, discuss your ideas and concerns, review existing site conditions, and determine the appropriate next steps for your project.
Lush Gardens offers a complimentary initial on-site consultation for prospective residential outdoor projects. During this visit, we’ll walk the project area with you, discuss your goals and priorities, review existing site conditions, and gather the information needed to better understand the overall scope of your project. Please plan for approximately one hour for the initial consultation.
Because our consultations are scheduled at properties throughout our service area and travel times can vary, we schedule appointments with a one-hour arrival window. We ask that you plan to be available throughout the arrival window and for the approximately one-hour consultation that follows.
To properly evaluate your project, we ask that a homeowner or authorized decision-maker familiar with the proposed work be available during the consultation. We may need to ask questions, review project preferences, discuss existing conditions, or clarify the intended scope while evaluating the property. While you do not need to remain with us during every measurement or site observation, your availability and participation help ensure we have the information needed to accurately evaluate your project and determine the appropriate next steps.
The complimentary initial consultation is intended to provide sufficient time for an initial evaluation of your project. Some projects may require additional on-site evaluation, discussion, material review, planning, or follow-up visits beyond what can reasonably be covered during the initial consultation. When needed, Lush Gardens Inc. may offer additional consultation services for a fee. Depending on the nature of the consultation and the applicable agreement, certain paid consultation fees may be credited toward the final project invoice when Lush Gardens Inc. is contracted to perform the work.
Any notes, measurements, sketches, drawings, pricing calculations, or other materials prepared by Lush Gardens Inc during a consultation are for our internal evaluation and estimating purposes unless otherwise provided to the client as part of an agreed service. We kindly ask that clients not photograph, copy, or reproduce these working materials during the consultation.
Following the initial consultation, we’ll review the information gathered during the site visit and determine the appropriate next steps for your project. Depending on the project scope and the information available, this may include preparing a written estimate, requesting additional information, scheduling an additional paid consultation, or recommending design or planning services when needed.
When appropriate, Lush Gardens Inc will provide a written estimate outlining the proposed scope of work and estimated project cost based on the information available at the time of the consultation. While we provide written estimates for most projects we evaluate, an initial consultation does not guarantee that an estimate or proposal will be provided.
Preparing a detailed estimate may require additional time after the initial consultation so we can review site conditions, measurements, proposed materials, labor requirements, and the overall scope of work. The time needed to prepare an estimate will vary depending on the size and complexity of the project. Lush Gardens Inc. will make every effort to provide estimates in a timely manner, but we do not guarantee a specific delivery date unless otherwise agreed upon.
We understand that project ideas may evolve after the initial consultation. Reasonable adjustments to the proposed scope can typically be incorporated into an estimate or revision. However, significant scope changes, repeated estimate revisions, additional site evaluations, or requests to price multiple substantially different project options may require an additional paid consultation or other professional services before further estimating can be completed.
